Further to the PM’s press conference on the 8th December 2021, and the government guidance released 9th December, from Friday 10th December face masks will be mandatory for most public indoor venues, including churches. However, face masks do not have to be worn under the following practical exemptions: eating, drinking, and exercising.
Due to this, we are asking all Metro Christian Centre attendees to wear face masks (unless medically exempt, or under the age of 11), even whilst singing.
We will also make sure that adequate ventilation is provided into the main hall when we gather (so please wear an extra layer).
Unlike the restrictions earlier this year, these new restrictions do not prohibit congregational singing or fellowship, and will therefore cause minimal (if any) disruption to our gathering together.
As a part of our ethos, we want to endeavour to make MCC a sanctuary. Therefore, as an act of compassion, we want to do all we can to keep one another safe from harm, and following the guidance given to us helps us to do so practically.
We hope that you will join us in this simple, yet effective, means of caring for one another.
As always, please continue to test yourself regularly. Please refrain from attending if you are experiencing any symptoms. And please consider getting your booster vaccine if you are eligible.
Blessings to you all,
Pastor Tristan, the Elders, and Deb Massey (Chair of Trustees)
